There are moments when a painting feels less like something we create and more like something we are invited to receive.

As Above, So Below, Is the River of Life emerged through one of those moments. As I reflected on divine creativity, I surrendered to an intuitive process, allowing flowing lines, sacred forms, and hidden symbols to reveal themselves naturally. Rather than directing the painting, I followed it. Every brushstroke became an act of listening.

Inspired by the ancient Hermetic principle As above, so below, this work explores the invisible connection between the spiritual and earthly worlds, the conscious and unconscious mind, and the rhythms of nature that flow through us all.

Water has long been a recurring symbol throughout my work. Here it becomes the River of Life—a living current that carries memory, transformation, intuition, and renewal. Within the flowing forms are subtle symbols waiting to be discovered: sacred geometry, shell-like spirals echoing the Fibonacci sequence, an all-seeing eye emerging from the water, and organic forms that blur the boundaries between landscape, psyche, and spirit.

Like many of my paintings, this piece was created as a co-creation between intuition and imagination. Rather than offering a fixed narrative, it invites each viewer to find their own meaning and to notice what reveals itself over time.
