Recently, I had the immense joy of delivering one of my most meaningful commissions to date — Kiki’s Heart — a cosmic soul portrait for a radiant woman who truly lives her purpose. Kiki is a sound healer, a devoted mother, and a gentle powerhouse of love and light. The moment I handed her the painting at Elements Women’s Wellness Centre in Windang, I knew something magical had come full circle.
This artwork was a commission from the heart — created to honour Kiki’s essence, her healing gifts, and the sacred bond she shares with her daughter. In the painting, Kiki appears both as a radiant goddess and as a mermaid mother cradling her child, surrounded by cosmic symbols, ocean magic, and blooming white roses that echo the purity and beauty of her spirit. It was a visual love letter to her soul, and delivering it in person made it all the more powerful.
But the story doesn’t end there.
After sharing the painting, Kiki gave me a 90-minute Targeted Trauma Sound Heal session — and honestly, it blew my mind (and recalibrated my nervous system in the most beautiful way). This was not just a relaxing experience; it was deep, intentional, and profoundly moving. Through her intuitive voice work, crystal bowls, drums, and vibrational techniques, Kiki created a safe and sacred space for deep release and restoration. I left feeling more grounded, open, and aligned than I had in weeks — like my cells had been bathed in light.
The setting made the experience even more special. Elements Women’s Wellness Centre in Windang lovingly run by Kiki and my bellydance connection from way back, Sarah Fletcher (aka The Mermaid Medium), is a nurturing haven created by women, for women. Every detail of the space is designed to support nervous system repair, hormonal balance, and spiritual nourishment — from sound healing and bodywork to naturopathy and women’s circles. The moment you walk through the doors, you feel held. Kiki and Sarah's vision is to help women reconnect with their inner wisdom and cyclical nature — something I deeply resonate with in both my art and psychology work.
Creating Kiki’s Heart and receiving such a powerful healing in return reminded me just how intertwined creativity and healing truly are. Both are invitations to come home to yourself, to trust the unseen, and to live from your inner compass.
