The Wise Women Are Ready to Be Seen

This oracle began as a vision…
one that Shivani has been holding, refining, and living for many years.

When our paths aligned in 2018, something started to take shape between us. It unfolded through shared conversations, embodied practice, and the lived wisdom of women.

The Venus Yoga Sisterhood, which meets weekly, has deeply influenced my weekly rhythm and this work. The stories, the reflections, the emotions, the real-life experiences of women — they are all woven into these cards… and into these paintings.

🌙 More Than an Oracle Deck

This is not just a deck of cards. Each Wise Woman carries layers of meaning:

• a guiding affirmation
• emotional and psychological insight
• reflective questions
• embodied self-care rituals
• wisdom for midlife and sagehood

There will also be accompanying videos to guide these practices —
supporting women, especially through perimenopause and later life,
to live in a more centred, connected, and vibrant way.

It is a multifaceted expression of women’s wisdom.

🎨 From Vision to Painting

Shivani offered clear direction for each card — the essence, the energy, the message.

From there, I allowed each painting to emerge in its own way.

It didn’t feel like I was “designing” them…
it felt like I was meeting each Wise Woman as she revealed herself.

And then something beautiful happened.

As the artwork came to life, Shivani refined the words —
allowing the imagery to shape and deepen the message.

It became a true dialogue between image and word.

Below are some of the 38 paintings drying after being varnished on my home studio floor.

✨ When a Painting Chooses You

One of the most powerful parts of this journey has been witnessing how women respond to the work.

There is often a moment…

A pause.
A shift.

And then they say,
“This one… feels like me.”

It’s as though the painting recognises something within them.

Many women have shared that they didn’t choose the artwork —
it chose them.

Here are some of the Venus Yoga ladies with their favourite paintings they chose to take home. It took a bit of deliberation, but they found their wise women in the end.
